Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Christ the Sower Primary School. Although it is difficult to summarise what makes our school special and unique – getting to know the children as individuals and their families is definitely one of the key principles held by our dedicated and exceptional staff team who work together to create a family feel. Our strong ‘child centred’ ethos and culture guarantee you a warm, friendly welcome at CTS.

We are very proud of our happy, caring school and the diverse community that we serve. Our vision is to provide 'the good earth'  for our children in order to ensure that they are all able to flourish and achieve their full, God-given potential. We pride ourselves on ensuring that we develop academic excellence alongside developing the whole child. Our Christian values led culture means that every single child is individually loved, nurtured and respected

We are committed to providing a stimulating and motivating learning environment, one that equips and prepares our pupils for the 21st Century. We follow a growth mindset approach to learning, and we have written a diverse and rich curriculum in which every child can excel. Our curriculum, which is underpinned by our CARE ethos and core values (Friendship, Thankfulness, Courage, Forgiveness, Compassion, Respect, and Perseverance) has been written by our subject leaders for OUR children.

We are fortunate to have a highly skilled and committed staff team who always put our children first and strive for excellence in everything that they do. We encourage our children to be confident, independent learners, who understand that achieving success requires effort, practice and resilience and that making mistakes is an essential part of the learning process.

Our school motto is ‘A loving Place where we all Care, Learn and Grow Together’. As a school community, we believe that children thrive when the entire school community – pupils, parents, staff, governors and the local community come together and work as one. We strongly value the relationship we have with our parents, and we recognise that effective partnerships are essential.

We appreciate and value the support our parents give us and the role they play in enriching our children’s experiences and supporting their child’s education. Parents are always most welcome in school. We create many opportunities for parents to get involved in the life of the school, and we operate an open-door policy here at CTS, whenever parents have any queries or concerns.

Please contact the office if you have any questions, or would like any further information. Visits are warmly welcomed, and I would be deeply honoured to show you around our school.
