English

By the end of this week, you will have accessed resources to write an instructional text.

Today, you will be thinking about retrieving facts and making inferences from texts. Click here to access the video and lesson information.

How did you get on with the spellings last week?  This week the spellings for you to learn have the endings –ant, -ance or –ancy.

Maths

We are going to continue to follow the activities provided by White Rose.  Remember, you need to watch the video on their website and download the resources from the links below. Today, you need to complete Summer Term Week 5 Lesson 1 (Multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000).

Watch the video by clicking here to visit the Year 6 area of their website and then answer the questions by clicking here to download the worksheet. Don’t worry if you can’t print it, just write the answers in your home learning book.

You can check your answers here.

You can also have a look at the resources on the BBC Bitesize website here. They link with the White Rose activity each day.

Topic (Art)

This week we are going to be focusing on art and combining some different skills to add texture.

To help you with the task tomorrow, we would like you to go on a texture hunt and look at items around your house and outside in your garden or whilst exercising.

You will need some paper and a pencil. You may also wish to use some colouring pencils and a black marker or felt-tip if you have them.

Have a look at this guide to see how to complete your texture hunt using frottage. You can complete more than one piece of paper if you would like to! Keep hold of your piece of paper as will be useful tomorrow.
