English

Today, we would like you to reflect back on the last few weeks. There have been many differences in the way we do things each day since March. Some things you have may have enjoyed; others you may have found more challenging. You might have felt a range of different emotions.

Try putting this all down into a piece of writing. Your audience is you in the future and the purpose is to remind yourself of the experience. You can choose to write it in the style of a diary, a blog post, a letter or even a poem. You could even record a vlog (with an adult’s permission) after making notes or a plan.

Try to also think about how you are feeling now and then look forward. You can include anything you are wondering about or excited to do again.

Even though this is a reflective piece of writing, think about the features of your chosen text type and elements that should be included in all of your writing. A reminder of those can be found here.

Maths

We are going to continue to follow the activities provided by White Rose. Remember, you need to watch the video on their website and download the resources from the links below. Today, you need to complete Summer Term Week 6 Lesson 1 (Fractions to percentages).

Watch the video by clicking here to visit the Year 6 area of their website and then answer the questions by clicking here to download the worksheet. Don’t worry if you can’t print it, just write the answers in your home learning book.

You can check your answers here.

You can also have a look at the resources on the BBC Bitesize website here. They link with the White Rose activity each day.

Topic (Science)

Today you are going to be thinking about the lifecycles of amphibians and insects.

Look through the lesson presentation here. It explains the process and the activity. Below are the worksheet and clue cards (if you wish to use them).
